Pumpkin Spice and Everything Nice!
Here are two classic recipes to help you get into the autumn spirit!

HOMEMADE PUMPKIN SYRUP
Ingredients:
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup brown sugar or raw sugar
- 1/2 cup pumpkin puree
- 1 tsp pumpkin pie spice
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions:
- Combine the water, sugar, pumpkin puree, and pumpkin pie spice in a saucepan. (For added depth of flavor be sure to use brown sugar or raw sugar as it gives a caramel like flavor versus using regular sugar so yummy!)
- Bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves and everything is combined. (There is no need to boil the mixture)
- Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract. (Always add vanilla off of the heat so you do not cook the flavor out)
- Strain the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve into a jar to remove any solids to make the mixture smooth. Store in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.

PUMPKIN SPICE LATTE
Ingredients:
- 2 shots espresso (or 1/2 cup strong coffee)
- 1 cup milk of your choice
- 2 tbsp pumpkin puree
- 1 tbsp maple syrup
- 1/4 tsp pumpkin pie spice, plus more for garnish
- 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
- Whipped cream (optional)
Instructions:
- In a small saucepan, whisk together the pumpkin puree, maple syrup, and pumpkin pie spice over medium heat until fragrant.
- Slowly whisk in the milk, heating until warm but not boiling.
- Pour the mixture into a mug and vanilla extract. Add the espresso or coffee.
